What is Hydro-Excavating?
Here at Great Lakes Directional Boring we use what is called a Hydro-Vac to safely expose any utilities that are in our bore path. A Hydro-Vac is a giant shop-vac on steroids that uses a high pressured water gun to break up the dirt that is then sucked up by a giant vac into a tank to store the mud. This allows the utility to be located safely and to not be damaged. Not only that but this piece of equipment also contains a very large majority of the mud that is created when you drill. This allows makes cleaning up and yard destruction to remain as minimal as possible.
